The 2019 Colorado Unemployment Notice to Workers Peel ‘N Post™ update sticker adheres to existing Colorado All-On-One™ Labor Law Posters and Mobile Poster Paks™ to ensure that mandatory workplace posters are compliant.
The Colorado Unemployment Notice to Workers has been redesigned and rewritten with new information on the rights of employees and independent contractors under state law.
The updated notice informs workers that they have the right to be properly classified as an employee or an independent contractor and to be paid accurately and timely for the services they perform. It states that there are resources available to workers if they are subject to improper classification or inaccurate payment practices, and provides a URL for the Misclassification Taskforce, the Employee Classification Tip Form, and the law covering proper employee classification.
The notice also informs employees that they are entitled to unemployment insurance benefits if they become unemployed through no fault of their own. The notice provides a website URL and telephone contact information for employees who wish to file a claim for unemployment.
The 2019 Colorado Unemployment Notice to Workers must be posted by every employer that pays wages to one or more employees. It must be conspicuously posted at or near work locations. (Regulations Covering Employment Security, 7.3.4)
