The 2018 Georgia Unemployment Notice Peel ‘N Post™ update sticker adheres to existing Georgia All-On-One™ Labor Law Posters and Mobile Poster Paks™ to ensure that mandatory workplace posters are compliant.
The 2018 Georgia Unemployment Notice to Employees has been updated to provide more emphasis on an employee’s ability to file a claim for unemployment insurance benefits on the internet. The notice now provides the URL for the Georgia Department of Labor website.
The offices where employees can file unemployment insurance claims in person are now referred to as Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) Career Centers rather than Offices of the Department of Labor, and the list of offices has been updated to reflect current locations.
The revision date for the new notice is 06/18. Prior to this revision, the Georgia Unemployment notice was last updated in 2013.
The Georgia Unemployment Notice to Employees is a mandatory poster for all employers who are liable for unemployment insurance taxes under must the Georgia Employment Security Law. It must be posted and maintained in places readily accessible to employees. (Georgia Rules, Section 300-2-7-.15)
An employer who is not liable for unemployment insurance taxes under the Employment Security Law or who ceased to be liable for unemployment insurance taxes is not permitted to display such notices and must remove them if on display.
