The 2019 Montana Minimum Wage poster provides the current minimum wage rate and effective date, as well as information on overtime and wage payment protections applicable to all employers subject to Montana Code Ann. §39-3-101 et seq. The posting also states that no tip credit, training wage or meal credit is allowed in the state of Montana.
The Montana minimum wage is adjusted each year according to increases in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). With a 2.59% increase in the CPI over the 12-month period from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2018, Montana’s new minimum wage rate is $8.50 per hour. The 2019 Montana minimum wage rate will take effect on January 1, 2019.
