The 2019 New York Minimum Wage Poster Peel ‘N Post™ adheres to existing New York All-On-One™ Labor Law Posters and Mobile Poster Paks™ to ensure required workplace posters are up to date with state law and posting requirements.
The 2019 New York Minimum Wage poster (under the heading Attention Miscellaneous Industry Employees) provides the current minimum wage rates for New York City (large and small businesses), Long Island and Westchester Counties, and the rest of New York State. The posting also provides information on credits and allowances, and extra pay.
In 2016, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the 2016-2017 state budget, mandating a gradual increase in the state minimum wage. Effective December 31, 2018, the minimum wage in New York City will increase to $15.00 per hour for businesses with 11 or more employees, and $13.50 per hour for businesses with 10 or fewer employees. In Long Island and Westchester Counties, the minimum wage will increase to $12.00 per hour. In the remainder of the state, the minimum wage rate will increase to $11.10 per hour.
After December 31, 2020, the minimum wage will continue to increase on an indexed schedule. The economy of all areas mentioned above will also be reviewed after 2019 to determine whether a temporary suspension of the scheduled increases in necessary.
All employers must post the 2019 New York Minimum Wage poster in a conspicuous place (NYS Labor Law, Article 19, §661).
