The 2018 Ohio Minimum Wage Peel ‘N Post™ adheres to existing Ohio All-On-One™ Labor Law Posters and Mobile Poster Paks™ to ensure that required workplace posters are compliant.
The 2018 Ohio Minimum Wage posting displays the current minimum wage rates for non-tipped and tipped employees, as well as information on overtime, recordkeeping, the sub-minimum wage rate, and individuals who are exempt from the minimum wage.
The Ohio minimum wage is adjusted each year according to increases in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The CPI’s 1.9 percent increase between 2016-2017 resulted in the state minimum wage rising from $8.15 to $8.30 per hour for non-tipped employees, and from $4.08 to $4.15 per hour for tipped employees. The minimum wage is recalculated yearly.
The 2018 Ohio minimum wage rate will take effect on January 1, 2018.
Every employer subject to the Ohio Minimum Fair Wage Standards is required to post the 2018 Ohio Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous or accessible place in or about the premises where any person subject thereto is employed (Ohio Revised Code, 4111.09).
Employers who gross less than $305,000 are subject to the federal minimum wage rate, as are employees under 16 years of age.
