Who must post the Colorado 2024 FAMILI Program Notice Peel ‘N Post™ ?
- Colorado employers participating in the state plan must display the FAMLI Program Notice in a conspicuous and accessible place in each establishment where employees are employed. (7 C.C.R. § 1107-3.7)
- The FAMILI Program Notice must be displayed in English, Spanish, and in any language representing the first language spoken by at least 5% of the workforce.
What’s new?
Colorado FAMILI benefits became available starting January 1, 2024. The Colorado 2024 FAMLI Program Notice has been updated with information about applying for benefits, when to expect pay, and employee FAMLI rights protections.
Specific changes include:
- Filing claims:
- Employees or their designated representatives can apply for FAMLI leave benefits through My FAMLI+ at famli.colorado.gov
- The initial payment of benefits is two weeks after filing an approved claim. Benefits thereafter are paid weekly
- Job protection and continued benefits: Employers may not interfere with or discriminate against employees for exercising their FAMILI leave rights, including:
- taking FAMLI leave
- talking to others about FAMLI leave rights
- filing a complaint for a FAMLI violation
