What does the Daly City Minimum Wage Ordinance provide?

The Daly City Minimum Wage Ordinance was adopted on January 1, 2019. The Daly City Minimum Wage Ordinance establishes an initial minimum wage rate that goes into effect on February 13, 2019. The employer of any employee who works two or more hours per week within the geographic boundaries of the City must pay covered employees at least the Daly City minimum wage rate. The minimum wage rate is payable regardless of the workers immigration status or the number of employees the employer employs. An employer may not use tips, or fringe benefits such as health insurance, vacation, sick leave or other benefits to offset or use as a credit towards the employer’s obligation to pay the City’s minimum wage. When is the minimum wage rate adjusted?
