The South Carolina No Weapons Poster displays a black silhouette of a firearm in a crossed red “no” circle and the text “No Concealable Weapons Allowed.”

Under South Carolina law, the posting of a sign which reads “No Concealable Weapons Allowed” is sufficient notice to a person with a concealed weapons permit that the employer, owner, or person in legal possession or control of a property does not want concealed weapons brought onto the premises or into the workplace. (S.C.C. §23-31-220)

A person who brings a concealed weapon onto the posted premises may be subject to a criminal conviction resulting in jail for up to 30 days and/or a fine of up to $200. Second or subsequent violations will result in revocation of the concealed weapons permit.

Posting Requirement

The South Carolina No Weapons Poster must be posted at each entrance into a building where a concealed weapon permit holder is prohibited from carrying a weapon. It must be placed not less than 40 inches and not more than 60 inches from the bottom of the building’s entrance door, and must be clearly visible from outside the building. (S.C.C. §23-31-235)

Note: The South Carolina No Weapons Poster is compliant with the requirements for prohibiting concealed weapons within a building with doors. Please contact us if you require a sign for premises which do not have doors.
