The Pinellas County Alcohol Health Warning poster provides information on the risks of alcohol consumption and warns patrons not to drink while pregnant.
The Pinellas County Ordinance No. 85-41 requires all persons who own or operate a business establishment which sells or dispenses alcoholic beverages for consumption on or off the premises to post this alcohol health warning in a conspicuous place in their premises. The ordinance is applicable countywide.
“Vendor of alcoholic beverages” means any person who owns or operates a business establishment which sells or dispenses any alcoholic beverages for consumption on or off the premises.
“Business establishment” means any place of business wherein one person directly or indirectly pays another for the purchase or dispensing of an alcoholic beverage. This includes but is not limited to:
- country club
- veteran’s fraternal or benevolent organization
- grocery store and drug store
- nightclub and bottle club
- bar and tavern
- restaurant and grill
- convenience store and filling station
Posting Requirements
The Pinellas County Alcohol Health Warning poster must be displayed in a conspicuous place, clearly and visibly legible to all patrons entering the premises.
