The Orange County Alcohol Health Warning poster provides information on the risks of alcohol consumption and warns patrons not to drink and drive, mix alcohol with prescription drugs, or drink while pregnant.
The Orange County Code of Ordinances requires all vendors of alcoholic beverages which are not for consumption on the premises to post this alcohol health warning in a conspicuous place on their premises.
“Vendor” means a person who owns or operates a business establishment which sells at retail any alcoholic beverage not for on-premises consumption, including any person who owns or operates a liquor store, or other business establishment which has retail sale of alcoholic beverages.
The term does not include bars, restaurants or other establishments which are permitted to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises.
Posting Requirements
The Orange County Alcohol Health Warning notice must be posted in a conspicuous place, clearly and visibly legible to all patrons entering the premises.
Violation of this section shall be punishable in accordance with Florida Statute § 125.69, which specifies that violations of county ordinances shall be prosecuted as misdemeanors are prosecuted. Conviction of such an offense shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment in a county jail not to exceed 60 days.
