California Wage Order #10 – Amusement and Recreation Industry Poster
The California Industrial Welfare Commission (IWC) Wage Orders regulate wages, hours and working conditions. Employers must comply with the IWC Wage Order and California labor laws applicable to their business or industry.
“Amusement and Recreation Industry” means any industry, business, or establishment operated for the purpose of furnishing recreation, including the following:
- Theaters
- Dance halls
- Bowling centers
- Billiard parlors
- Skating rinks
- Riding academies
- Race tracks
- Amusement parks
- Athletic fields
- Swimming pools
- Gymnasiums
- Golf courses
- Tennis courts
- Carnivals
- Wired music studios
Posting Requirement:
California Labor Code section 1183(d) provides, “Every employer who is subject to an order of the commission shall post a copy of the order and keep it posted in a conspicuous location frequented by employees during the hours of the workday.”
