The Colorado Radiation Protection Standards Poster (AKA Form OR-RH-15 / Notice to Employees) provides information on the standards for protection against radiation; notices, instructions and reports to workers; inspections; and employee protection.
The poster describes the responsibility of the Arizona Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division to protect workers and the public from unnecessary or excessive radiation exposure, employer responsibilities when conducting licensed activities, and employee rights and responsibilities when working with or in the vicinity of radioactive materials or radiation producing machines.
The poster also provides contact information for the Arizona Hazardous Materials Division for employees who wish to report radiation safety concerns or violations, and the US Department of Labor/OSHA for employees who have been discriminated against for raising a safety issue.
Posting Requirement
Any employer conducting activities licensed or registered by the Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division is required to post the Colorado Radiation Protection Standards Poster in a sufficient number of places to permit individuals engaged in work under the license or registration to observe them on their way to or from any particular work location to which the document applies.
The Colorado Radiation Protection Standards Poster, and all other required notices and documents, must be conspicuous, and must be replaced if defaced or altered. (6 CCR 1007-1 Part 10)
