The Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law Large Print Poster (EEO Large Print Poster) is the ideal posting solution for organizations or institutions that have employees or applicants with visual impairments. The EEO Large Print Poster provides information on federal laws which prohibit discrimination in employment based on specified protected characteristics:

It includes sections applicable to most private employers, state and local governments, educational institutions, employment agencies, and labor organizations; employers holding federal contracts or subcontracts; and programs or activities receiving federal funds.

Posting Requirement

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title I and Title V of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, and Title II of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA) require every virtually employer, employment agency, labor organization, or joint labor-management committee post notices in an accessible format to applicants, employees, and members describing the nondiscrimination and retaliation protections under Federal laws. In addition, covered federal contractors and subcontractors are required to post notices describing the nondiscrimination and retaliation provisions established by Executive Order 11246, Section 503 or the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974. The Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC) combines these required notices on the “Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law” EEO Large Print Poster.

Large Print Format

The ADA requires employers to make the EEO printed notice available in an accessible format, as needed, to persons with disabilities that limit the ability to see or read. The EEO Large Print Poster contains all the provisions of the original notice except that the font size of the text has been increased to make the notice easier to read. The EEO Large Print Poster is fully compliant with legal posting requirements. The EEO Large Print Poster should be posted in conspicuous places in the workplace where notices to applicants and employees are customarily posted.
