The Mississippi Department of Employee Security has updated the mandatory-to-post “Unemployment Insurance for Employees”. The posting provides information on the requirements a separated employee must meet in order to be eligible for benefits, and what data is required to begin the claim filing process. The revised posting date is 4/9/24.

The Mississippi Unemployment posting has been updated with a new phone number, email address and hours of operation to file an unemployment claim.
Posting Requirement
Each employer shall post and maintain in places readily accessible to individuals in his service printed statements concerning such regulations or such other matters as the commission may by regulation prescribe. (Mississippi Code Ann. § 71-5-515)
