Posting Requirement
New Jersey employers in the restaurant industry must display the New Jersey Food Service Occupations Regulations Wage Order in a conspicuous location in the workplace.
The term “restaurant occupation” means any activity of an employee in the restaurant industry. The term “restaurant industry” includes any eating or drinking place which prepares and offers food or beverage for human consumption either in any of its premises or by such service as catering, banquets, box lunch or curb service. The Order also covers credits for tips, food and lodging used to establish the minimum rate. Appropriate for eating and drinking concessions.
