The New York Allergy Poster includes:
- the procedure to be followed if a customer informs staff of having a food allergy.
- the procedure to be followed to prevent cross contact; and
- the procedure to be followed if a customer has an allergic reaction.
Posting Requirements
Every food service establishment must post the New York Allergy Poster in a conspicuous location accessible to all employees involved in the preparation or service of food. (NY Public Health Law, Sec. 1356(3)) The poster must be displayed in at least one language spoken by each employee. Please contact us if you require a poster in another language.
A food establishment is defined as “a restaurant, catering hall, or grocery store where food is prepared and served either on or off site.”
