Get Involved – Report Suspected Fraud, Waste, Misconduct in DHS Programs or Operations

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) Hotline is designed to receive reports from employees and the public regarding misconduct affecting the programs and operations of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Examples of allegations that should be reported to the OIG include:

• Employee corruption involving bribery, embezzlement, espionage and smuggling
• DHS program fraud and/or financial crimes involving blackmail, contract fraud, grant fraud, immigration fraud and program theft
• Civil rights or civil liberties abuses involving denial of rights, profiling and use of force concerns
• Miscellaneous misconduct within DHS involving abuse and violence, unauthorized use of DHS Information Technology systems, suspicious activity, and ethics violations
• Prohibited personnel practices such as Whistleblower retaliation.
