Who must post the Maryland 2024 Minimum Wage and Overtime Law All-On-One Poster Peel ‘N Post™?
Maryland law requires all Maryland employers to keep posted continuously in each place of employment a summary of Maryland’s Minimum Wage and Overtime Law approved by the Commissioner of the Maryland Department of Labor. (Md. Lab. & Empl. § 3-423) Maryland employers who have an existing Maryland All-On-One Labor Law Poster (dated 082023) can update using the 2024 Minimum Wage and Overtime Law All-On-One Poster Peel ‘N Post™.
Because there a multiple posting updates for the 2024 Maryland Mobile Poster Pak™ (MPP), a Peel ‘N Post option is not available. Full MPP replacement is required to ensure that all postings are current.
What’s new for 2024?
Effective January 1, 2024 , the Maryland’s minimum wage rate for all employers, regardless of size, increases to $15.00 per hour effective January 1, 2024. The minimum wage increase is made pursuant to 2023 Senate Bill 555 (“Fair Wage Act of 2023”). That law eliminated minimum wage rate tiers that had been in place in previous years establishing different minimum wage rates based on the number of employees the employer has and accelerated the rate at which the State would reach a uniform $15.00 minimum wage. The law also eliminated the plan to adjust the minimum wage rate each year for inflation.
