The Nevada Prohibits Discrimination Poster provides information on unlawful discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodation. It also provides contact information for the Nevada Equal Rights Commission (NERC).
Under Nevada law, employers may not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age (40+), sex (including pregnancy), religion, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, or gender identity or expression.
Housing discrimination is prohibited on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, disability, ancestry, family status, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression.
Places of public accommodation are prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression.
Posting Requirements
The Nevada Prohibits Discrimination Poster is not a required posting. However, the NERC strongly recommends that employers display the poster in a place that employees are likely to see it and can refer to it as needed. Most employers opt to place it near their Nevada All-On-One™ Labor Law Poster.
NERC’s feeling is that by displaying the state poster, employers signal to their employees that they support and implement fair employment practices and do not tolerate discrimination in the workplace.
