New contact information for the Office of Oklahoma Attorney General, Office of Civil rights Enforcement.
What’s changed?
  • The Oklahoma Law Prohibits Discrimination in Employment notice has been revised to more concisely state the protected categories and the employment practices covered by Oklahoma’s law against employment discrimination.
  • New contact information for the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General, Office of Civil Rights Enforcement (OCRE) is provided. New information includes:
    • the OCRE’s Oklahoma City Office mailing address and telephone number
    • the Oklahoma Attorney General’s website address
    • the OCRE’s email address
Why is this information important?
Employees who believe their rights have been violated are required to file a complaint with the OCRE within the prescribed time limits and be issued a Notice of Right to Sue before commencing a civil action for employment discrimination. A delay in filing a complaint may affect an employee’s legal rights. (Oklahoma Statutes, Sec. 25-1350)
Who is required to post?
The Oklahoma Department of Labor and the OCRE require all Oklahoma employers to post this notice.
