The Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DLIR) has updated the state Unemployment Insurance labor law posting. The update includes new claims process and benefits payment information. The notice explains:
- additional online and in-person claim filing options
- creating an online account with a valid email address
- benefits payments must received by direct deposit.
For direct deposit, claimants must provide their account type (savings or checking), financial institution routing number, and account number. Job seekers can file a claim for unemployment benefits online at the DLIR website here http://labor.hawaii.gov/ui and register for work through Hirenet Hawaii located here https://www.hirenethawaii.com/vosnet/Default.aspx. Claimants should be aware that Hawaii Tele-Claims is no longer available as of October 1, 2014. There are several claims offices to file in person.
Employers can stay compliant with the updated posting requirement with a revised Hawaii All-On-One™ Labor Law Poster or using a Hawaii Unemployment Insurance Law Peel ‘N Post™ for current labor law posters.
