Victims of human trafficking may be forced or coerced into engaging in prostitution, housework, farm work, factory work, retail work, restaurant work, or any other activity. Since 2007, the non-profit, non-governmental National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline has received 399,494 reports on potential victims of sex or labor trafficking. Both the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline and the Florida Human Trafficking Hotline provide help and referral to services for victims and survivors of human trafficking, as well as training and general information for those who wish to provide assistance to victims.
The Florida Human Trafficking Poster informs victims of human trafficking that they are protected under United States and Florida law. The poster includes the Florida Human Trafficking Hotline (1-855-FLA-SAFE).
