What changed?

Last year, New Mexico enacted Senate Bill 437 establishing incremental minimum wage rate increases beginning on January 1, 2020. The New Mexico Minimum Wage workplace posting has been revised as follows:

Who is required to post?

Every employer subject to the Minimum Wage Act must keep the Department of Workforce Solution’s summary of the act posted in a conspicuous place wherein any person subject to the act is employed, clearly and conspicuously setting forth the current minimum wage rate. (NMSA 50-4-25) Violation of the posting requirement is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a fine of $1,000. (NMSA 50-4-26)
