What’s new?
The Texas Workforce Commission has revised the Equal Employment Opportunity posting to include:
- The prohibition of “Sex” discrimination expanded to cover additional characteristics.
- The updated mailing address of the Texas Workforce Commission, Civil Rights Division.
- The Texas Workforce Commission’s new email address and the web address where discrimination complaints can be filed.
Who must post?
- Every employer who has 15 or more employees, and smaller employers with federal grants and contracts must post the Texas Equal Employment Opportunity posting in a conspicuous place in or about the premises. (Texas Labor Code, Title 2, Ch. 21)
- Every employer who has 15 or more employees is required to post the Federal “Know Your Rights” posting in a place where it can be seen by employees and job applicants. (42 USC 2000e-10).
