What’s new?
The updated Kansas Unemployment Insurance (UI) Notice for Workers:
- Describes the purpose and funding for Kansas’ UI program.
- Lists the basic qualifications and eligibility requirements for UI benefits, including that the worker:
- Be able to work
- Be available to work
- Be seeking suitable employment
- Have adequate work history
- Meet wage requirements
- Comply with weekly job search requirements
- Participate in reemployment services
- Announces Kansas’ new web portal, KansasUI.gov, where workers can create an account to file a claim for benefits, submit weekly certifications, and check eligibility status.
Who must post?
Each employer must post and maintain the Unemployment Insurance benefits posting in a conspicuous place in each plant, branch, or establishment maintained by that employer. (KAR 50-3-1)
