Food Allergy Poster Requirement for New York City Restaurants

According to Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) about 15 million Americans have food allergies, including all those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis. Many cities and states have enacted laws designed to improve the process by which restaurants address the needs of customers affected by food allergies. In New York City, food establishments where food is sold and space is designated specifically as an eating area are required to display the food allergy poster. The poster must be displayed in a conspicuous location accessible to all employees involved in the preparation and service of food.

Keeping New York City food service establishments in compliance with city laws is a task Compliance Poster Company’s Research and Compliance Team takes seriously. The NYC Food Allergy poster is available in multiple languages. Click here to view products.
