What’s new?
The Indiana Department Workforce Development (DWD) Unemployment Insurance posting has been updated as follows:
- Clarification that employers pay for unemployment insurance
- Removing the term “tax” from the description eliminates the possible confusion between the employer’s and the employee’s tax obligations.
- Addition of the DWD TDD/TTY number for hearing impaired individuals
- The change follows recently issued DWD guidance to improve accessibility systems for all agency programs.
Who must post?
Every Indiana employer who is liable for the payment of unemployment contributions must post and maintain the DWD Unemployment Insurance posting in places readily accessible to all employees. (646 IAC § 5-2-16)
