Montanans earning minimum wage will see an increase in their pay from the current rate of $7.90 per hour to $8.05 per hour beginning Jan. 1, 2015. State law requires the minimum wage rate to be adjusted each year for inflation.
The minimum wage increase will have the greatest impact on the accommodations and food service industries which have the largest number of workers earning minimum wage followed by the retail trade industry. Unlike many other states that give employers in service industries certain credits, the Montana Minimum Wage Law does not provide a tipped employee minimum wage rate, a training wage, or meal credits.
Compliance Poster Company will offer two 2015 Montana poster update options – a new 2015 Montana All-On-One™ Labor Law Poster or a Montana Minimum Wage Peel ‘N Post.™
