What’s new?
Minimum Wage
- Effective January 1, 2025, the minimum wage for all employers will increase to $11.13 per hour. The 90-day training minimum wage rate for workers under the age of 20 will increase to $9.08 per hour.
- Every employer subject to the Minnesota Fair Labor Standards Act must post the Minnesota Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous and accessible place in or about the premises where a covered employee is employed. (Minn. Stat. Ann. § 177.31)
Employer-Sponsored Meetings
- Pursuant to Senate Bill 3852, employers are prohibited from taking adverse employment action against employees who decline to attend employer-sponsored meetings regarding religious or political matters.
- Every employer in Minnesota is required to post the Employer-Sponsored Meetings posting in a place where employee notices are customarily located within the workplace. (Minn. Stat. Ann. § 181.531(3))
