2020 Earned Income Credit Peel ‘N Post™
Louisiana All-On-One Labor Law Poster™
What’s new?
The IRS has increased the maximum income rates to claim the EIC for the 2019 tax year and the maximum income rates to claim the EIC for the 2020 tax year. To inform employees of the income eligibility limits, Louisiana has released both the:
  • 2020 EIC Notice – This notice reflects EIC income eligibility rates based on income earned in this year, and
  • 2019 EIC Notice – This notice reflects EIC income eligibility rates based on income earned in last year.
What does the law require?
The Executive Director of the Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC) requires all employers to post the LWC’s EIC Notice to inform employees of the Internal Revenue Service’s current eligibility requirements for the EIC. The law requires employers to post an updated notice whenever eligibility requirements change. (La. Rev. Stat. § 23:1018.2)
