The District of Columbia Equality in Education Poster must be displayed by any public or private institution including academy, college, elementary or secondary school, extension course, kindergarten, nursery, school system or university; and a business, nursing, professional, secretarial, technical or vocational school.
It is unlawful for an educational institution to deny or restrict use or access to any of its facilities, services, programs or activities on the basis of any protected category. The poster identifies the categories that are protected from discrimination and sexual harassment in education. The Office of Human Rights contact information is provided for filing complaints.
