The Wisconsin Department of Justice encourages the following establishments to display the human trafficking poster:
- Gas stations with signs visible from an interstate or state highway that offer amenities to commercial vehicles;
- Hotels;
- Adult entertainment establishments;
- Nail and hair salons;
- Places at which employers engage some employees to perform agricultural labor;
- Hospitals and other medical centers;
- Places at which athletic or sporting events occur;
- Establishments that operate as a massage parlor or spa, alternative health clinic, or similar entity;
- Expositions conducted by a county or agricultural society;
- Courthouses;
- Rest areas maintained by the department of transportation;
- Public and private transit stations.
The Wisconsin Human Trafficking Poster provides the human trafficking resource center hotline that a victim or someone who knows a victim can call or text for help and services.
Posting Requirements
The poster must be displayed in English and Spanish. (Wis. Stat. § 165.71)
