What’s New on the New Jersey Family Leave Insurance posting?
The revised posting, dated 09/25, includes the following new information:
- The state plan provides 85% of a worker’s average weekly wages.
- Jobs are protected while employees are receiving benefits.
- A direct link that allows employees to easily find more information on current year benefits, eligibility requirements, and how to apply.
Posting Requirement
All employers must post the New Jersey Family Leave Insurance posting in a location accessible to all employees. (N.J.A.C. 12:21-1.8) In addition to the posting requirement, employers must provide a written notice to each employee at the time of hiring, when an employee informs the employer about their need to take family leave, and upon an employee’s first request for the notice.
