The Florida Lodging and Food Establishments Poster informs guests of public lodging establishments and food service establishments that a current copy of Chapter 509, Part 1, Florida Statutes is available in the main office for public review. The bottom of the notice provides a fill-in space for the location of the chapter and the name of the Contact Person who will provide access.
The poster also cites relevant portions of the chapter relating to the operator of such an establishment’s right to establish reasonable rules and regulations, guest and employee responsibility to abide by those rules and regulations, the operator’s posting requirements, and information which must be maintained by the operator and made available to the public.
Posting Requirement
The operator of a public lodging or food service establishment may establish reasonable rules and regulations for the management of the establishment, its guests, and its employees, which each guest or employee is required to abide by so long as they remain in or at the establishment.
The operator of a public lodging or food service establishment is required to post a copy of such rules and regulations for the management of the establishment, its guests, and its employees. The notice must be printed in English and include notice that a current copy of Chapter 509, Part 1 is available in the office for public review. It must be posted in a prominent place within the establishment.
If you have not established rules and regulations specific to your establishment, the Florida Lodging and Food Establishment Poster will fulfill the notice requirements of FRS 509.101-1.
