Effective January 1, 2021, employers in the City of Half Moon Bay, California are required to pay every employee who works at least two hours per week for a business located in the City a minimum wage of no less than $15.00 per hour. Beginning January 1, 2022, and each year thereafter, the minimum wage rate will increase by the percentage increase in the cost of living, as measured by the Consumer Price Index.
Who must post the Half Moon Bay, California Minimum Wage Poster?
Every employer that employs workers at a facility located in the City of Half Moon Bay is required to post in a conspicuous place at any workplace or job site where any employee works the notice published by the City informing employees of the current Minimum Wage rate and of their rights under law. (Half Moon Bay Muni. Code, § 3.300.050). Failure to post the notice constitutes a violation of the law.
