The Missouri Anti-Redlining Poster describes that state financial institutions cannot refuse to provide, upon request, application forms or refuse to accept or otherwise impede the making of written applications for residential real estate loans. If an application is rejected, financial institutions must provide the applicant with a written statement explaining the reasons for rejection. Furthermore, financial institutions are required to maintain a copy of each document received or delivered for a period of not less than 25 months which period may be extended by order of the division director who regulates the institution.
Posting requirements:
The Missouri Anti-Redlining Poster must be displayed by every state financial institution in the lobby of each of its offices (Revised Statutes of Missouri, 408.580(5)).
