The North Dakota Fair Housing Poster informs patrons that North Dakota law prohibits discrimination in housing based on the protected categories of race, national origin, sex, marital status, religion, disability, color, age (40+), receipt of public assistance, familial status, or status as a victim of domestic violence (in certain circumstances).
The poster also provides examples of prohibited discriminatory practices, as well as contact information for the North Dakota Department of Labor and Human Rights which enforces North Dakota’s anti-discrimination statutes.
Posting Requirements
The North Dakota Fair Housing Poster is not a required posting. North Dakota’s Department of Labor, Human Rights Division suggests that landlords, realtors, brokers, lenders, and sellers display this poster to inform the public that the posted business does not discriminate and prevent discrimination complaints.
