Issued by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), the Texas Consumption Prohibited Poster notifies customers that “It is a crime (Misdemeanor) to consume liquor or malt beverages on these premises.”
Posting Requirements
Holders of a Wine and Malt Beverage Retailer’s Off-Premise Permit (BQ) or a Retail Dealer’s Off-Premise License (BF) must display this poster prominently on the premises. The lettering must be at least two inches high.
Failing to display the required signage is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $25 per violation (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code §§ 26.05, 71.10, 101.72).
