Texas TABC Human Trafficking Poster
The Texas TABC Human Trafficking Poster informs the public that forcing individuals into labor or services is a crime. It provides contact information for both the iWatchTexas Hotline and the National Human Trafficking Hotline so victims can seek help and witnesses can report suspected incidents.
Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery in which traffickers use force, fraud, or coercion to control victims for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex acts or labor services against his/her will. In 2018, the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline received 10,949 reports on potential victims of sex or labor trafficking. The Resource Center provides help and referral to services for victims and survivors of human trafficking, as well as training and general information for those who wish to provide assistance to victims.
Posting Requirements
All Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission license or permit holders authorized to sell alcoholic beverages for on and off premises consumption must display this poster in a conspicuous manner clearly visible to the public. (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code, Sec. 104.07) The poster cannot be less than 8 1/2 inches x 11 inches in size, and must be displayed in English and Spanish. The English text must cover approximately two-thirds of the poster, and the Spanish text must cover approximately one-third of the poster.
