USERRA Notice Requirement:
Employers are required to provide to individuals entitled to the rights and benefits under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), a notice of the rights, benefits and obligations of covered individuals and employers under USERRA. Employers that post the notice, “Your Rights Under USERRA”, where employee notices are customarily placed are in compliance with the law. Alternatively, employers may provide the full text of the notice to covered individuals by handing out, mailing, or distributing the notice via electronic mail.

The USERRA poster informs transitioning workers of:
- reemployment eligibility criteria,
- the protection from discrimination and retaliation based on military status,
- how to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Labor, Veterans Employment and Training Service (VETS),
- VETS website and telephone contact information, and
- cooperating Federal agencies.
