Have you had a chance to visit the US Department of Labor’s online “Hall of Honor”?
The Hall of Honor showcases the life-changing contributions that women, men, groups and organizations have made which have had a positive impact on the American way of work and the American way of life.
Each year, Americans whose distinctive contributions in the field of labor have, among other things, elevated working conditions, wages, and over-all quality of life of America’s workers and their families and communities are inducted into the Hall of Fame. Their portraits and brief biographies are featured in the Hall of Fame online.
In remarking on the achievements of the 2012 honorees, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis reminded us that all workers in America have the right to safe, clean working conditions and the right to get paid the full wages they are owed. The Department has more than 1,000 Wage & Hour investigators committed to enforcing federal labor laws to ensure these important protections.
