San Jose Minimum Wage Rate Increase Now in Effect

Employers in San Jose California must now pay a new higher minimum wage rate: Employers that maintain a facility in San Jose or are subject to the San Jose Business Tax are required to display the new San Jose Minimum Wage poster in a conspicuous place where labor law notices for employees are customarily posted. Every employer must post the minimum wage poster in any language spoken by at least 5% of the employees at the workplace or job site. Compliance Poster Company has several options to fit employer’s business needs.

Compliance Poster Company offers several San Jose Minimum Wage poster options:

  • English Only
  • Spanish Only
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • 4 language English/Spanish/Chinese/Vietnamese

Employers are also required to provide each employee at the time of hire with the employer’s name, address, and telephone number in writing.

Beginning January 1, 2014 the San Jose minimum wage will increase by an amount corresponding to the prior year’s Consumer Price Index for urban wage earners and clerical workers for the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose Ca metropolitan statistical area.
