Facilities Operating X-Ray Machines or Using Radioactive Materials Must Post Radiation Notice

State and federal laws require certain facilities to post a mandatory Radiation Notice to Employees. Radiation regulations or standards limit how much radiation a person can receive in a particular situation. These notices identify employers’ and workers’ responsibilities to protect themselves and others, and the environment, from hazards associated with ionizing radiation.

Compliance Poster Company’s most recent addition to our collection of state-mandated radiation posters is the Mississippi State Department of Health’s Radiation Notice to Employees. Copies of this notice must be posted in a sufficient number of places in every establishment where employees are employed in activities licensed or registered to operate radiation machines or use radioactive material. Ionizing radiation is most often used in energy production, manufacturing, medicine and research. Facilities or licensees typically include medical, academic, and industrial facilities.
