Human Trafficking Help
Under new Law effective July 1, 2014, New Mexico employers are required to post the new state Notice on Human Trafficking Poster.
The bilingual Notice on Human Trafficking Poster contains toll-free state and national telephone and text reporting numbers, assurance of caller anonymity and confidentiality, and a forced labor advisory.
Who must post?
- All employers subject to the Minimum Wage Act,
- Retailers, liquor licensees, restaurants, and clubs,
- Health facilities licensed pursuant to the Public Health Act, and
- State or local government agencies that manage transportation facilities.
Location and language requirements:
The notice must be displayed in a conspicuous manner in a location clearly visible to the public and employees of the employer or licensees.
Covered entities are required to post the notice in English and in Spanish, and in any other written language where 10% or more of the workers or users of a covered facility speak that language. Signs must also meet size requirements.
Covered employers can comply with the mandatory signage requirements using Compliance Poster Company’s bilingual New Mexico Notice on Human Trafficking Poster. Order today!
