What’s changed?
  • Sexual Violence Survivor’s Transitional Employment Program – The updated Unemployment Insurance posting has been revised to provide information to employees regarding potential benefits under the Sexual Violence Survivor’s Transitional Employment Program (21 V.S.A. § 1251, et seq.). Under the law, an individual may be eligible for up to 26 weekly payments if the individual was forced to leave the job as a result of domestic violence, sexual violence or stalking. 
  • Career Resources – The name of the Department of Labor’s job assistance facilities has changed to Career Resource Centers. A toll-free number to locate regional Career Resources Centers is provided. 
Who must post?
All Vermont employers are required to post the current Vermont Unemployment Insurance notice in the workplace in places readily accessible to employees. (21 V.S.A. § 1346).
