What’s changed?

The District of Columbia Paid Family Leave posting has been revised to reflect that employees taking paid family leave may be eligible for job protection under the District of Columbia Family and Medical Leave Act. The revised posting also includes the Office of Human Rights website for more information on the job protection.
The District of Columbia Paid Family Leave provides up to eight weeks of parental leave to bond with a new child, six weeks of family leave to care for an ill family member with a serious health condition, and two weeks of medical leave to care for one’s own serious health condition. Starting July 1, 2020, the District of Columbia will begin administering paid leave benefits to eligible workers.
Who must post?
All District of Columbia employers are required to post and maintain the Paid Family Leave posting in a conspicuous location where notices to employees are customarily posted. (DC Act 21-682, Sec. 106(h)(i))
