What changed?

Last year, the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Nevada OSHA) began implementing a new penalty structure for violations of state occupational safety and health standards. Each year, state penalty rates are adjusted for inflation. This year, Nevada OSHA penalties increased by 1.8%.
The new penalty maximums are:

Nevada OSHA has revised the Nevada Safety and Health Protection on the Job workplace notice to reflect the new penalty rates. The revised notice is dated 01/2020.
Who must post? 
Every Nevada employer is required to post the updated Nevada Safety and Health Protection on the Job notice in a conspicuous place where notices to employees are customarily posted. (N.A.C. 618.6428) An employer who fails to post or maintain the Nevada Safety and Health Protection on the Job notice is subject to a civil fine of up to $13,494. (N.R.S. 618.675)
