What’s new?

The Kansas Equal Opportunity in Employment posting has been revised consistent with Guidance from the Kansas Human Rights Commission (KHRC) issued in response to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Bostock v. Clayton County. The posting has been updated to clarify that:

  • Sex includes LGBTQ+, all derivatives of sex, and pregnancy
  • Age is 40 or more years

Other changes to the Equal Opportunity in Employment posting include:

  • Addition of the KHRC’s email address
  • Updated telephone numbers for the KHRC Dodge City office

Who must post?
Kansas employers with four or more employees, employment agencies, and labor unions are required to post in a conspicuous place on the business’ premises the current KHRC Equal Opportunity in Employment notice. (K.S.A. § 44-1012).
