What’s new?
Maryland Minimum Wage and Overtime Law has been updated to reflect the minimum wage rates for:
  • Employers with 15 or more employees:
    • Effective 1/1/23 – $13.25 per hour
    • Scheduled 1/1/24 – $14.00 per hour
  • Employers with 14 or fewer employees:
    • Effective 1/1/23 – $12.80 per hour
    • Scheduled 1/1/24 – $13.40 per hour

Who must post?
  • All Maryland employers are required to keep posted conspicuously in places of employment the Maryland Minimum Wage and Overtime Law. (Lab. & Empl. Art. §3-423).
  • Every employer who has 15 or more employees is required to post Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal in a place where it can be seen by employees and applicants. (24 USC 2000e-10)
