The posting has been updated to reflect the annual adjustment to the maximum weekly benefit and premium rate for the Washington State Paid Family and Medical Leave Program. Starting January 1, 2023:
- The wage replacement benefit cap increases to $1,427 per week.
- The percentage of an employee’s wages that is collected as a shared premium increases to 0.8% of the employee’s gross wages.
Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal.
The new Federal “Know Your Rights” posting replaces the “Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law” posting. The new posting clarifies protections related to sex discrimination, harassment, religious accommodation, and retaliatory practices.Who Must Post?
- All Washington State employers must post and keep posted pertinent provisions of the Family and Medical Leave Program in a common area where notices are customarily posted. (WAC 192-540-020)
- Every employer who has 15 or more employees is required to post the “Know Your Rights” posting in a place where it can be seen by employees and job applicants. (42 USC 2000e-10)
